Univision Foundation Supports Critical Care for Children in Mexico

With the support of Univision Foundation and its health initiatives targeting disparities in Hispanic communities, Fundación para el Desarrollo Comunitario MGAS is making a profound difference in the lives of children in Mexico who are battling cerebral palsy, spasticity, and cancer.

This initiative funds life-changing surgeries, distributes essential medications, and provides wigs and other vital support to improve the quality of life for these young patients. Through this partnership, children facing serious health challenges are receiving the care and attention they need.

Project Focus

• Medical Assessments: Evaluating 208 candidates for surgery.
• Surgeries: Performing 110 operations to improve mobility and independence.
• Wigs and Medications: Distributing 100 eco-friendly wigs and 22,000 medications.
• Food and Therapy: Providing food packages and post-surgery therapy workshops.
