TRF’s financial statements are independently audited annually by the accounting firm Tait, Weller & Baker LLP. We are duly incorporated as a nonprofit corporation under the laws of the State of New York, and have been classified as a tax-exempt entity under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code. All donations to TRF are tax-exempt to the extent allowed by law.

TRF requires transparency, efficiency and financial accountability from its nonprofit partners. Our due diligence procedures surpass all governing standards for international grant making.  The process includes a comprehensive, ongoing analysis of the proposed organization, budget, program and more, as well as additional verification that the organization is legitimate and experienced.

In recognition of TRF’s organizational efficiency and sound fiscal management, Charity Navigator, the nation’s premier charity evaluator, has awarded us its highest rating of four stars eleven times since 2008.
