Partner Spotlight: Proyecto Uremu in Honduras

In just eight months, our partner Proyecto Uremu has made a significant impact in Chamelecón Norte, Honduras, reaching 425 individuals. By creating safe and creative spaces for children and teens, this initiative harnesses the power of music to reduce violence and inspire hope.
Currently, 71 students are learning to play instruments and sing in choir, gaining invaluable skills that extend beyond music, including leadership, discipline, and community engagement. The project has also hosted two community concerts, attracting hundreds of attendees and showcasing the transformative potential of music.
Despite facing challenges such as extreme heat and political uncertainty, Proyecto Uremu continues to thrive, providing a vital alternative to violence and paving the way for a brighter future for all involved.
