Catalyzing Digital Innovation in Latin America

Driving Social Innovation Through Technology

Over an intensive 8-month program, the Propel Impact Accelerator provided funding, mentorship, and training to 10 visionary nonprofits from countries including Colombia, Peru, Costa Rica, El Salvador, Guatemala, and Chile. These organizations have implemented innovative digital solutions:

  • CoSchool (Colombia): Developed Flori, an AI-based app for social-emotional learning.
  • Fundación Timbalé (Colombia): Implemented a CRM to optimize relationship management and expand their impact on Colombian youth.
  • Fundación FESCO (Colombia): Implemented an information system with beneficiary data to improve operations and support Latin American children.
  • Fundación Bive con Bienestar (Colombia): Strengthened AlóSalud, their telemedicine platform, to provide healthcare access in rural areas through comprehensive service digitization.
  • Kantaya (Peru): Launched an AI-powered chatbot to support women’s workforce integration.
  • Saphi (Peru and Bolivia): Created a new AI that removes language barriers and facilitates financial service access for Quechua-speaking populations.
  • TeenSmart International (Costa Rica): Expanded Infórmate Ya, a virtual library promoting healthy lifestyles among youth.
  • Glasswing International (El Salvador): Enhanced their virtual volunteering program to increase educational outreach.
  • ConnectED (Guatemala): Boosted ConnecTEC, a platform co-created with indigenous communities to enhance quality education.
  • Fundación Kodea (Chile): Created KodeaSync, a platform to educate youth about technology and the digital world.​

These initiatives demonstrate how nonprofits are not only keeping pace with digital transformation in the region. They are helping lead it. By embracing innovation, they are closing access gaps, amplifying impact, and building stronger, more connected communities.
