MUDE

When women have access to opportunity, families and communities grow stronger.

Mujeres en Desarrollo Dominicana, Inc. (MUDE) advances the social and economic empowerment of women and families in vulnerable communities across the Dominican Republic.

For more than four decades, MUDE has worked alongside women to strengthen their livelihoods and communities. Its programs have impacted more than 29 million lives across 28 provinces by combining practical resources with education and local capacity building.

WHY IT MATTERS

Women living in vulnerable and low-income communities can face limited access to financing, education, health services, and opportunities to build sustainable livelihoods.

These barriers often reinforce one another. Economic independence depends not only on access to financial tools and training, but also on health, education, leadership, and strong community networks.

MUDE addresses these interconnected challenges through an integrated model designed to strengthen both economic opportunity and social development.

WHAT YOUR GIFT SUPPORTS

By donating through The Resource Foundation, you support MUDE’s work to expand opportunities for women and families across the Dominican Republic.

Economic Development promotes greater financial independence through microcredit, financial education, entrepreneurship support, and solidarity groups. MUDE has provided more than RD$1 billion in financing and reports that its economic programs have helped create or strengthen more than 94,000 jobs.

Social Development strengthens women, families, and communities through education and training, preventive health, gender equity, community leadership, and child development. Over its history, MUDE has delivered more than 57,000 trainings and created or strengthened 2,950 community networks.

Your contribution helps MUDE bring these resources to more women and families, supporting stronger livelihoods, healthier communities, and more resilient futures.
