In addition to our tailored giving services for U.S. donors, TRF also coordinates other initiatives throughout the year to promote sustainable development in the region.

Impact Investing

We are proud to announce the launching of a new program through which you can foster meaningful change in communities:

“TRF’s Impact Investing Fund” program. The Global Impact Investing Network (GIIN) defines impact investments as those “made into companies, organizations, and funds with the intention to generate social and environmental impact alongside a financial return.”

As the program’s pilot, TRF has preselected AguaClara, LLC, for the first investment as it expands into Mexico. Contact us to learn about partnering with us to support early-stage businesses with social missions.

Greatest Needs Fund

The World Bank reports that, despite a growing middle class, 13.3 percent of Latin Americans, or approximately 80 million people, are still living in extreme poverty (US $2.50 or less a day).

“Millions more who have risen out of poverty risk being pulled back down into it by economic shocks and…climate change.”

In response, TRF continues to seek support for its seven Greatest Needs Funds, which address pressing issues including education, healthcare, food security and potable water. Please consider donating to these funds to help us create lasting change in the region.

Disaster Relief

Hurricanes, floods, earthquakes and other natural disasters regularly cause significant devastation throughout Latin America and the Caribbean. Our network of organizations has unparalleled expertise in meeting the most pressing needs of affected children, families and communities.

These organizations are able to quickly assess needs on the ground and develop programs that provide effective long-term assistance so that victims can rebuild their homes, reestablish their businesses and restore their livelihoods.
