Fundación Conservación Ambiental Ecuador, FUCAE advances environmental conservation and community participation in Ecuador.

The organization works with residents, young people, local leaders, and partners to restore ecosystems, promote the sustainable use of natural resources, and strengthen local engagement in environmental protection.

FUCAE’s approach begins with priorities identified by communities. It combines reforestation, environmental education, leadership development, and civic participation to support long-term environmental action.

WHY IT MATTERS

Ecosystem degradation and climate change can affect biodiversity, natural resources, local livelihoods, and the well-being of communities.

Environmental restoration requires more than planting trees. Long-term progress also depends on informed and engaged communities that can participate in protecting their territories and natural resources.

FUCAE addresses these interconnected needs by combining ecosystem restoration with community education and leadership development.

YOUR IMPACT

By donating through The Resource Foundation, you support two complementary initiatives in Ecuador.

2 Million Trees is a long-term reforestation initiative planned across five rural parishes in northern Pichincha. FUCAE aims to plant at least 200,000 trees annually, with the goal of reaching two million trees over the next decade. The initiative is designed to support ecosystem restoration, climate resilience, environmental education, and community participation.

Strengthening the Social Fabric provides free community-based training in leadership, civic engagement, conflict resolution, and environmental sustainability. Through in-person and virtual seminars, FUCAE aims to train hundreds of local leaders and reach thousands of community members each year.

Together, these programs seek to strengthen environmental stewardship and build more engaged and resilient communities.
