SOS Mata Atlântica

Fundação SOS Mata Atlântica is a Brazilian nonprofit environmental organization. It works to promote public policies in favor of the environment through biome monitoring, research studies, pilot projects, dialogue with public and private sectors, improvement of environmental legislation, communication and public engagement in favor of clean water, promotion of public appreciation for parks and reservations, ocean preservation, and restoration of the forest that is home to the majority of Brazilians.

Throughout its 31 years of activity, the foundation has been responsible for planting over 40 million seedlings of native trees throughout Brazil (an area twice the size of Paris), particularly near water sources and riverbanks.

Fundação SOS Mata Atlântica’s continued work depends on the support of generous individuals and businesses.
